The second series of our Distiller’s Select continues our commitment to showcasing the individuality found in every barrel. Barrel #1636 was chosen for its distinctive balance of richness and approachability, offering a refined yet expressive take on our Hudson Valley crafted bourbon.

This single barrel opens with inviting aromas of toffee, vanilla and warm oak, layered with subtle notes of dried fruit and sweet spice. On the palate, flavors of caramel, baked apple and honeyed grain unfold smoothly, supported by hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted barrel char. The finish is long and warming, with a soft sweetness and gentle spice that lingers well after the final sip.

Bottled at 133 proof and released in extremely limited quantities, Barrel #1636 exemplifies the careful barrel-selection and hands-on craftsmanship behind Taconic Distillery’s Distiller’s Selection series. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
